Dave Branch has been woodworking for over 50 years. Over that time, he has helped start several woodturning interest groups in Colorado, Texas and New Mexico. He is a member of AAW American Association of Woodturners. For over 30 years participated in numerous international symposiums, trade shows and studied with the masters. He is a member of the Bruster Society, an international kaleidoscope organization. While participating in the kaleidoscope society international expos he studied under the masters, worked with renowned artists and collaborated with collectors and gallery owners. His work is displayed in kaleidoscope galleries and glass galleries.
He is known for his woodturning of exotic woods combined with local (roadkill) mesquite and alligator juniper. He continues to push the envelope with functional design problem solving involved around the high-end kaleidoscopes, spheres, wood threading, puzzle making and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) challenges. He has a passion to “light a fire” among the next generations to love STEM, study STEM and find practical application of lifetime problem solving fun.
