Artist Deb Wight 

I am drawn to the colorful currents and energy of glass. The perceived movement inspires me to create a certain subject I often create using nature as my muse, birds, blossoms, cactus with the occassional abstract piece.

My desire is to create fine art glass for wall display rather than the window. This led me to combining two materials very few artists do, glass and metallics. The idea of combining these two media was exciting to me as I blended the color of glass and the warmth of the textured metallics. The light does not flow through the piece like traditional stained glass, instead, it refracts off the metallics behind and illuminates the piece beautifully.

I adore doing art shows as my heart warms when seeing people smile and talk about my artwork. I get involved with my collectors finding out what moves them and the piece they love the most. Selling work to my collectors is the most rewarding part of my art career. Even after the purchase I stay in contact with the goal of maintaining their love and loyalty.
